North Goa in a new bottle

A scooter ride to Morjim beach just before the sun comes up will freshen you up. While approaching the beach off the main road you will see a line of tall trees opening up to the wide sandy area.

This place is also the nesting ground of the endangered Olive Ridley sea turtle. The forest department has marked their nests with signboards. But you will see evidence that people pay no attention because the loud shacks are too close for comfort for the animals. Plastic bottles strewn around the nests speak of ignorance.

If you take the highway towards Karwar in neighbouring Karnataka, and don't mind taking a detour after the main town of Panjim, you will come to old Goa and its landmark the Basilica of Bom Jesus. It holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier.

It's that easy to fool tourists with "Incredible India" products. Some of these tea flavours contain leaves other than tea, and has artificial flavouring stuffs that you wouldn't want to have.

  1. Loved the way you put up these images in a specific order. I particularly liked the beach photos and the ones of Mahatma Gandhi.
Keep the good work going. :-)
